FTEJerez and Aer Lingus have worked closely together since FTEJerez moved from Prestwick to Spain in 1999. Then, FTEJerez trained over 40 students (courses 4, 6, 7 and 9) and was the last school to have effectively trained ab initio pilots for Aer Lingus.
In 2012, FTEJerez was selected once again by Aer Lingus as their exclusive flight training provider, with a number of sponsored cadets and self-sponsored FTEJerez students now flying for the Irish flag carrier as first officers.
At Aer Lingus we believe that the highest standard of ab initio flight training is crucial in developing a pilot for the demands of airline operations. We have had an association with FTEJerez since our Cadet Pilot programme in 2000 and after a break of a number of years, recommenced this programme in 2012. FTEJerez continues to deliver the highest standards of training and care for our Cadets as they prepare for life in the world of commercial aviation."Capt. John Kelly Director of Flight Operations

There is a requirement for quality trained cadet pilots not only to just meet the exacting standards of Flybe, but to be able to fulfil the diverse, demanding and high frequency schedule offered by Flybe to the travelling public safely and effectively. Continuing the long-standing relationship with FTEJerez, who have consistently met the needs of the airline in both quality of candidates but also demand, is a priority for us.
