FTEJerez, one of Europe’s leading aviation training organisations, and Kuwait Airways, the national airline of Kuwait, have recently entered into a training agreement. Under this agreement, FTEJerez will provide candidate selection and ab initio training services for the Kuwait Airways national cadet programme.

The selection process for cadets was conducted in Kuwait in April, and the first batch of 10 cadets has commenced training in May as part of FTE’s course 251. The training programme will follow the Multi-Crew Pilot Licence (MPL) route, ensuring that cadets receive comprehensive and industry-relevant training, transitioning to an A320 type rating which will also be provided by FTEJerez.

With this partnership, FTEJerez proudly adds Kuwait Airways to its impressive list of airline partners, further solidifying its position as a premier training provider in the global aviation industry.

Oscar Sordo, CEO of FTEJerez, commented: “We are delighted to collaborate with Kuwait Airways in training their future pilots. This agreement underscores FTE’s commitment to delivering high-quality training programmes tailored to the needs of our airline partners.”

Kuwait Airways, established in 1954, has grown to become a key player in the aviation industry, serving both domestic and international routes. With a fleet expansion and increasing passenger traffic, Kuwait Airways is committed to maintaining the highest standards of safety and service. In line with its growth strategy, Kuwait Airways is expecting the arrival of new Airbus aircraft during 2024, further bolstering its operations and recruitment requirements.

Abdulmohsen Salem Alfagaan, Chairman and CEO of Kuwait Airways, stated: “We are pleased to partner with FTEJerez for the training of our cadets. This collaboration represents a significant step towards ensuring the continued excellence and safety of our operations.”
