FTEJerez during the past week hosted a graduation and wings ceremony for the latest group of Aer Lingus Cadets Pilots successfully completing their training at the college. Cadets graduating were Patrick Carolan, John Heffernan, Kerrie Jolley, David O Dowd, Sarah Perkin, Paul White, Larry Burns, Cormac Keane and Cormac Leyden.
The nine graduates were the first ones to graduate of the current number of 20 Aer Lingus cadets at FTEJerez.
The graduation was followed by a gala dinner held at the Hotel Cortijo de Ducha and was hosted by FTEJerez CEO, Oscar Sordo with Captain Colm Wynne Deputy Chief Pilot and Head of Airbus Fleet, Head of Training Captain Malachy O’Curry and Captain John Kelly, Assistant Head of Training at Aer Lingus, as guests of honor.
For Kerry Jolley it was a paricularly special occasion when she received her wings from her father, Captain Bob Jolley, a retired Aer Lingus captain with some 24 000 hours flying experience.
“We would like to congratulate the graduates on having completed this demanding course and wish them every success in their new roles as the future captains of Aer Lingus”, FTEJerez’s CEO, Oscar Sordo said.
