FTEJerez has recently completed the second On the Job Training Instructor Course (OJTI) to 5 FerroNATS controllers, following the success of the first course delivered in May. The aim of the On the Job Training Instructor Course (OJTI) is to provide participants with the necessary fundamental knowledge, skills and attitude to enable the issue of an On-the-Job Training Instructor endorsement to an ATC Licence/Certificate of Competence.

FerroNATS is the partnership between Ferrovial Servicios, a European leader in the industry of transportation infrastructures management and maintenance, and NATS, the UK’s leading provider of air traffic services and solutions. FerroNATS was awarded two out of three lots allocated in the public tender administered by Spanish aviation authority AENA in 2011 and currently, FerroNATS provides air traffic control services in the Spanish airports of Alicante, Valencia, Ibiza, Sabadell, Sevilla, Jerez, Vigo, A Coruña, Melilla and Cuatro Vientos.

FerroNATS’s choice of FTEJerez as a provider for their controllers’ OJTI Course, is an important recognition of FTEJerez’s position in the air traffic control training industry.
